Okay, first you need to know this is a big step.
It’s hard at first. And it takes a lot of commitment.
    Just remember AVOID meat!
If you see somebody eating something that contains meat, and your craving it..
Just think in your head about that video you saw about Animal Slaughter.
This will help make you not crave it anymore.
&& Also, if you do that yet still crave a burger or something, go artificial.
Like instead of a Cheeseburger, go for a Veggie Burger.
Also, most people think of vegetables as being boring little things that grow on trees.
    No.
SPICE it up, make yourself WANT to eat vegetables.
For example.. my family does this for dinner all the time.
    It’s amazing & addictive!
Cut some zucchini into about 1 inch slices.
Fry in a frying pan until a LIGHT brown.
Season Cajun seasoning on the zucchini.
This adds some life & flavor, also keeping the natural juices & vitamins still packed inside.
    This is SO good!
    Just remember add flavor!!!
    Also, here’s some more tips!
    Plan your meals.

    1) Breakfast: cereal, toast, bagel, fruit etcs.. – this covers your daily carbs, better to have carbs in the morning versus at night.

    2) Mid morning: yogurt, apple, protein bar. this will give you energy

    3) Lunch: veggie sandwich, grilled veggies, veggie soup with lots of beans – you’ll get your proteins and with the veggies, get your "a,b,c,d,e" vitamins.

    4) Dinner: big spinach salad, or a leafy green salad, with a main course veggie dish. the salad covers your iron and more protein, with great vitamins. – b12

The main course veggie dish, – you can basically have what you want as along as it not to heavey in crabs. like don’t eat loads and loads of paste or bread. but a little is good!

Vitamin B12 is really the only one you can’t get from plant sources, so take a supplement for that. Otherwise if you’re eating a balanced diet (lots of veggies, whole grains) you shouldn’t have to worry about getting sick.

  6. PansVegan says:

Only take vitamins if you’re unsure if you are getting enough nutrients. You shouldn’t do it to prove anyone wrong, sounds like a bet. If you needed vitamins to do this it wouldn’t make much sense. You can be veg*n without supplements. Buy a lot of vegetabkes and fruit. Trader Joe’s is a great place to start. They have all kinds of soups and veggie patties. You can also purchase animal cruelty-free shampoos & soaps :)

  7. Cliff says:

It is not a healthy diet. Picky eating is not a good idea, especially if it means missing out on important nutrients, such as some essential amino acids, iron, and B-vitamins.

Think of all the chemical pesticides that are used on fruits, vegetables, and grains. Think about what you are really putting into your body. Washing the fruit off won’t solve the problem: the chemicals have been absorbed into the fruit’s flesh. Such chemicals put a huge strain on your liver, if the liver can even filter them out. They are proven risks for cancer as well as various gastrointestinal and neurological disorders.

The first thing you need to know is that unlike misinformed people like Cliff will try to tell you there is no amino acid, vitamin or mineral that is exclusive to meat. Everything your body needs is in a vegetarian diet, without needing vitamins (the average American, in fact, needs a vitamin supliment more then a vegetarian.)

You need to do some research places other then here, but a few rough guidelines:

*Eat at least 5 fruits and vegetables a day, in different colors. Try to make one of them dark green.
*Protein is in everything. Beans, nuts, veggies, dairy, seeds, eggs, fruit, grains, rices. If you eat enough calories and it’s not junk food then you don’t need to work about protein.
*Go for variety. The more varied your diet the more chance you’re getting everything you need.
*Avoid white foods for the most part. White rice, bread, pasta, flour, sugar, etc means that most the nutrients have been stripped and it’s empty carbs now. Go for wild rice, wheat or other grains, organic of raw sugar.
*Slaughter bi-products are hidden in many foods. Look out for gelatin, lard, rennet and carmine.
*Iron is in beans, nuts, soy, green veggies. It’s better absorbed if you have vitamin C at the same time.
