Meat. But, let me explain. When first starting on any kind of diet, it’s important to most people to be able to cheat. The key is to decrease the amounts so that it’s a bite that feeds your craving rather than an entire meal.
Meat substitutes can help somewhat, but the occasional bite of meat can help your brain. A bite once a day quickly turns into once a week and then tapers down from there. Once your brain overcomes it’s addiction, it’s so easy to turn it down!
maybe cut out red meat first. then cut birdies after a month or so. or just keep fish in ur diet for a while.
there are many fake meat products, but if you love meat these products may not thrill you, they are more just for protien. Try em out though, you may like.
iv been a vegetarian for a few months now and what has helped me has been eating things like greek yogurt with blue berries , fajitas with onions cheese corn red kedny beans… , bananas, any fruit thats on sale , and fake meat like morning star brand or boca burgers… and having the mind set that when you c a meat product u like that ok iv had it befor it was yummy but i dont need it now and i have my whole life to eat it again just not right now.
i just became vegetarian (like within this week), and so far it’s been easy for me to eat no meat, period. But I really don’t like meat, so my case is different. For you, I would suggest possible becoming demi-vegetarian, which means you still eat fish sometimes. Good luck!
use veggie crumbles, mushrooms or eggplant to replace meat for your fav. foods that you alreadt eat
MORNING STAR!!! hahah
thats wha i started off with! and i still eat it! :]
but if you ate alot of meat before make sure u dont cut out chicken and fish at red meat at the same time. take one at a time :]
Eat food that is hardy and provides lots of protein so you will not crave meat. I like to make a vegetarian chili recipe. It is very filling, hearty and full of protein. In fact most meat eaters I know can’t tell the difference. This site has several wonderful vegetarian chilies.

They are very good, healthy and I do not think you will miss the meat.
Good luck!
