What are the effects of Vegan/Vegetarianism on our environment and agriculture?

I read a lot of comments posted as to how vegan/vegetarianism helps the environment and agriculture.
I want to know the cons of a widely spread adopted lifestyle of vegan/vegetarianism.

I do remember seeing a news cast with Pamela Anderson where the reporter ( can’t remember his name ) gave great points on this subject.
Gene L : Haha ! Thank You for the answer.

If every one became a vegan. that would put tons of people out of work. most of the people that know only farming and farming only! There would be an overstock of livestock. And I’d be very hungry!

    Good question.

I didn’t see the Pam Anderson thing but, I have my own opinion on Vegans wanting to stop us from eating meat.
Perhaps I’m taking it to an extreme but I think you get my drift.

If our society comes to evolve into having too many vegans and vegetarians trying to stop the sane killing of animals to keep us from eating meat we will soon find our environment overrun with cattle, pigs and chickens to the point that all traffic will come to a halt from the streets and highways being congested with animals, and society itself will eventually become a wasteland of rotting and stinking animal corpses because not enough people are doing what God intended for those animals…to supply man with sustenance and the necessary protein he needs to stay healthy that is obtained in the meat of those animal products.

Vegans oppose eating meat…but cows, pigs and chickens were not put on this Earth because of their pleasant odor, sanitary habits and ability to become family-friendly household pets, they were put here to feed us….that’s what God intended.
…and now I’m in the mood for a nice, thick, juicy sirloin.

Cattle, pigs and chickens…it’s what’s for dinner!

  5. rofe says:

cattle in particular do not compete with humans for much of their food. they convert materials such as grass and other forage to a product that is edible by Humans. The vegans/vegetarians do not consider what would happen to the population of livestock if they were not used for food. How many of them would volunteer to stack up the deads in their front yards to allow them to decompose or do they want them all to go into land fills. Not very smart or forward thinking.

  6. jesse says:
