I’m about to become vegetarian, for various reasons, and I was just curious if I would lose any weight?
I’m not overweight or anything, I’m just curious.

With any diet, it depends on your fat, calorie and sugar intake. Mostly calorie intake, though.
Depends on what you eat. If you just consume tons of chips and bread, then you might actually gain weight. If you actually cook your own food and eat fruits and veggies, you might lose weight, depending on how much fat you eat.
It might. You have to be very careful when you become a vegetarian because you will have to find ways to get the protein you lose when you cut out meat. Just be careful!
I hope this helped.
Yes, and it’ll be even better for the animals.
It depends on what you eat. Before I went vegan I was a total junk food vegetarian. Mac and cheese every day, cookies, pizza, carbs, carbs, carbs. But if you’re a healthy vegetarian then you’ll probably loose weight.
becoming vegetarian will make you hungry, and you may be prone to overeating, and you might gain weight
i am raw vegan but when i first switched from a high protein diet to a moderate protein/plant based diet i gained weight in the beginning year or two, but now it has leveled out and i am loosing weight no matter how much i eat
but im not vegetarian i am raw vegan
I gained weight when I became a vegetarian because all I ate were carbs and cheese…my advice to you…WATCH YOUR CARBS. Eat plenty of fruits, veggies, nuts, and seeds, and you’ll be fine
Probably not. I gained weight when I became a vegetarian, because I was eating a lot of junk food and carbs and stuff to make up for the meat.
I lost 5 or 6 pounds. so yeah, maybe
Most likely, as long as you’re actually eating healthy and not just avoiding meat and dairy. If you’re already at your optimum weight, you won’t lose much, but you’ll feel a lot better, as you will be able to digest food easier and get more nutrients from your food.
Maintain your priorities. Sure, your sandwich would taste amazing with an extra tablespoon of mayonnaise… but do you really need it? Rather, is it more important for you to reach your weight loss goal quicker – or have this sandwich taste marginally better? What’ll happen the next time you’re faced with this decision – will you cave again? It’s a slippery slope; don’t lose sight of what’s most important to you.
