Vegetarianism?

What are the health advantages to becoming a vegetarian?
Is there a link I can go to which will help me know which foods to cut out and which ones are acceptable with vegetarianism?
Besides peanutbutter (I don’t like it and it’s fattening) what food sources can you get protein from if you cut out meat?

The advantages are numerous and you can gain 15 plus least of life over the average American. But you must have a balance and there are things to replace meat, I am going to say some things that might be offensive to some but it to back up some of my pints, you can go to the seventh day Adventist health site and read their information and you can go to http://www.amazingfacte.org and learn a lot to start off with. Without proper diet you can get fat from a veggie diet. But here are some bad things that we are just discovering about meat. The hormones given to cows to produce and antibiotics pass thru the cooking process, That is why some girls at 11 are Large busted and bodily fully mature FULLY MATURE AT 11 OR 12 YEARS OLD. The COOKING DOES NOT DESTROY THE GROWTH HORMONES (sorry for the caps) when I was in high school the girl’s chests were no bigger than the boys but now it is really different. Antibodies also don’t get destroyed in the cooking process so you tend to get more than needed and it is a disaster waiting to happen for a super bug to come around that is resistant to the drugs we now have. Mad cow is a Disaster waiting to happen and it’s going to get worse before it gets better, I believe that Adam was doing genetic gene splicing and created dinosours and wiped out a bunch of animals but doing so caused the meat to become gentically defective and causeing many cansers we find today. Tofy is a protien replacement but the are so many others, eating vegtables and fruits aslo increase the living cells that your body need to reproduce with less damaging effect than meat causes; and overall withy a good regiment of excersize your body will peak at it’s maximumway into your 50′s plus have a longer life and more energy and a more keen mind it is worth it to me, however check the sites I have told you about ad they will lead to others, I hoped this helpped you outthere are many things to consider but chooose wisely it could harm you.

Peanut butter is not fattening in the small amounts that you would need to eat, but if you don’t like it, you don’t like it. My brother hasn’t eaten it since the first time he changed his daughter (say-no-more!). I like it, but only eat it a few times per week.

Protein, you can get from just about every food. The really good sources are soybeans (and hence, tofu and tempeh), quinoa, amaranth, nuts, lentils, beans, chickpeas, peas, wheat (and hence, seitan, couscous, wholemeal pasta, etc.), millet, oats, barley, rye, triticale, maize, sunflower seeds, pepitas, almonds, buckwheat, amongst other things.
