Vegetarian recipes without onions or garlic?

I don’t like the taste of onions or garlic, but would like to eat more vegetarian dinners. I have had trouble finding recipes that have no garlic or onions. Are there any vegetarians that don’t like onions or garlic? If so, what type of meals do you prepare?

I don’t mind onions and garlic, but I don’t use them all the time. If you like celery and carrots, you can use these as a flavor base for a lot of meals – either sauteed or cooked in broth.

Or, you can simply take the onions and garlic out of any recipes you see. The right herbs and spices can easily replace the flavor of onions and garlic.

Some dishes that I like a lot that are sans onions and garlic:

Sauteed swiss chard in olive oil with pasta – season with salt, pepper, spices/herbs of your choice (I like a little bit of curry or Chinese 5 spice).

Veggie medley on brown rice or barley:
Saute a variety of vegetables on hand (peppers, mushrooms, greens, carrots, celery, broccoli, cabbage, etc) – season to taste – spoon over cooked brown rice or barley

You can even make simple pizza – use your favorite tomato sauce or make a white pizza without the garlic.

thats a easy one:) first you can make chineese rice only with carrot and pease-you must have big frying pan in which to put the the components and then you should just fry them. After that just add some of your favourite spices:) Second reciepe is from indian culture -its like salad with tomatoe, lettuce, avocado, greipfruit and mushrooms. next: put in a big pot a water to boil after the water is ready add in it strainer and in the stainer put carrots.pease, sweet corn, cauliflower, and gumbo. the steam will cook the vegetables but it takes time.:)
