		<description>I became a vegetarian in High School too.   I just asked my parents to cook meat on the side if they wanted it (like not put beef in the pasta sauce), and suggested a lot of diverse menus (like baked potato night, breakfast-for-dinner, lasagna without meat, etc.  

After a while it became normal for them.  I also talked to them on multiple occasions) and explained that this is what I  believe.  At some point they give up and either resolve that it is a phase, or you are convicted to what you believe.
