After recieving a extremly upsetting e-mail (www.meat.org) I’ve decided I’d like to become a vegetarian and then progress to a vegan the problem is I’m 15, I doubt my family will understand or back me up! Can anyone help, I’m very passionate about doing this.
I would also like some information on what things are ‘safe’ to eat and what isn’t.

My cousin’s son is not naturally keen on eating meat and i am concerned that the poscute of trying to feed him meat could have some psychological effect on him. Is a natural feeling of vegetarianism in childhood possible and what sort of help is there about the subject matter.

I’m not trolling (despite what you might guess from my TC tag). I’ve often wondered about why people go meatless.

The rest of my family are omnivores and I’m a vegetarian, so I need something a 14 year old boy (I went tocooking school) can make with inexpensive ingredients.

I am a total animal person and have always felt bad eating animals. I am considering becoming a vegetarian but am afraid that it will make mealtimes hard for me and my family since I will always have to have something special and meat free. My family is sort of a meat family except for me. It might be a difficult lifestyle change.
Vegetarians- please help me with recipes, and your thoughts on the whole vegetarian thing…
I also want some salad recipes… thx a bunch!

I read a story about Bramble, a Border Collie who lived to be 28 years old and was a vegan. She ate a bowl of lentils, rice and organic vegetables every evening. This story is making me re-think my long standing belief that in order for my two dogs to be healthy they need to eat a diet that consists of animal protein.

What are your thoughts?

I am extremely concerned for the planet becuase the consumption of meat depletes our precious resources like freshwater, land, trees. The pollution it produces, and the global hunger that it causes. How can we show people the devastating effects of their diet and how to change their destructive habits? I’m not saying we should take meat away from people, but so that they can reduce their consumption.
