Is it too late for me to reap benefits of vegetarianism or a more natural life-style?

Can older people really reverse disorders (like blocked arteries and heart disease) from a vegetarian or natural living style? I’ve read it works with diabetes, but what about heart disease? Is it once those arteries are clogged and hardened up with plaques and cholesterol that it cannot be undone or do I have a chance to undo all those years of damage?

Advice on becoming vegetarian?

I’ve always wanted to become vegetarian (because of moral/ ethical reasons) and I rarely eat other met except chicken, even when that is not very frequently.
I plan to take it up properly when I return to living back at university.
I have a very low protein diet as it is and I need to know what food substitues I should eat instead and how hard it is to go completely meat free and how other people found it?

Starting a vegetarian diet and feeling irritable?

Becoming Vegetarian/Vegan?

I’m eager to become a vegetarian (and later maybe a vegan) after researching it for a few months. However, I’m currently underweight and slightly anemic, (doctors don’t know what is wrong but I have an upcoming appointment with a gastroenterologist) and my family is totally unsupportive of becoming vegetarian.

Once I get my weight back up to normal, I was thinking I could just start slow and have one meat-free day each week (like Paul McCartney’s Meat-Free Mondays) and then go meat-free two days a week, then three days a week, so on and so forth until all my meals are vegetarian.

I need advice because I want to do this the right way so I can stay healthy. Any tips are appreciated! <3

What sort of vegetarian recipes make good left-overs for (office) work lunches the next day?

I want to save money by bringing in my own lunch.

I guess the criteria would be:

* Freezes well
* Can be refridgerated
* Doesn’t smell too much (I catch the bus and I don’t want any embarrassing smells)
* Is filling
* Good value for money
* Doesn’t include fish or meat (dairy is ok)
