I’ve noticed that among my old high school friends (I’m 29 years old now) it’s the ones who made the most fun of vegans and vegetarians who have turned vegan. These are people who used to troll the vegetarian internet forum and now they’d never think of eating meat. Why is that? Have any of you noticed how this happens?
I’m just wondering if it’s common for people to swing from one extreme to the other.

3 stages of truth:
1. ridicule
2. opposition (often violent)
3. acceptance
in relation to vegetarianism:
1. vegetarians are stupid. STUPID. animals are yummy!
2. i doubt meet your meat is real. animals live on happy farms! they get killed under anesthesia! they’re happy! happy!
3. you know, maybe there was some truth to this. i’ll have the veggie burger, please.
I was eating vegan from 19-22 years old. I now eat most animal products. It’s just a personal choice.
LOL …. Honey, 29 yrs. old is NOT "later in life" !!! …. My kids are nearly 10 years old than you; and, NO – I haven’t noticed any single one of my friends becoming vegetarians. Yes, we all eat healthier, and may have some vegetarian meals each week, but we all still like meat too…….
first of all, i have never noticed it, and second its a personal choice
I never made fun of them, before I became one.
I believe in live and let live.
YES, I’ve noticed that in myself. When I was younger I remember saying "I could never become a vegetarian". And I never understood how people could stop eating meat. Now, its completely different. Things have totally done a 180 with me and I wouldn’t change it for anything.
