I’m a kid and I think I want to become a vegetarian but I don’t really know what I can eat for protein and stuff. Could you give me some websites for recipes that aren’t to weird but are vegetarian NOT vagen.
thanks sooo much! ![]()
when I say not vegan I mean i can eat vegan meals, but not all of them have to be vegan.

Pistachio nuts have a lot of protein, I believe. You can also use meat substitutes such as tofu.
protien is in everything you eat fruit, veggies, milk, eggs products, nuts, grains, fungi, soy products.
you can make the same things that you did before except substate the animal meat for veggie meat
Eggs are packed with protein (and cholesterol). Dunno how strict of a Vegetarian you’re planning on being, but since you said "NOT vagen" (and it’s spelled V-e-g-a-n), I’m going to assume you’re okay with all animal bi-products, just not meat:
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Baby-Spinach-Omelet/Detail.aspx (I used egg whites and nearly quadrupled the amount of seasonings.) Too bad I can’t bring myself to eat eggs anymore…
http://vegetarian.about.com/od/breakfastrecipe1/r/TofuScramble.htm (So delicious. Add some cheese if ya don’t want it to be Vegan.)
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Broccoli-Tofu-Pitas/Detail.aspx (I used Veganaise on half and hummus on another half instead of the dressing it called for–Use mayo if you don’t want it to be Vegan.)
You’re really limiting your food choices by saying "NOT vagen."
It’s easier than ever to become a vegetarian. There are tons of choices at most restaurants and stores. Since you’re not going vegan, cheese, eggs and milk will still be good sources of protein, but don’t each too much cheese (too much fat). Also try hummus, falaffel, beans, etc.

Go to the website http://www.goveg.com. They will have all the info you need. Eggs are good protein, if you aren’t vegan.
Here is a sit that has info for vegetarian starters: http://www.pcrm.org/health/veginfo/vsk/
You should go through that and do research to make sure you get enough protein and nutrients. It’s not hard if you eat a good variety of foods, which is fun anyway.
There are a lot of websites with vegetarian and vegan recipes. But you are limiting your choices by saying "not vegan"
Basically a lot of vegetarian recipes are vegan, unless you haave to eat cheese and milk with absolutely everything you eat…haha.
For example.vegetarian spaghetti is vegan. (Unless you’re putting parmesan cheese on top)
It just depends on what you’re eating; you can call yourself a vegetarian and eat vegan foods..because you’re going to eat vegan foods, inevitably!
Here are a few of my favorite recipe sites:

(Sorry, I know I listed some vegan sites, but honestly honey, you’re going to run into vegan food a lot if you’re a vegetarian..unless you seriously do want to just eat cheese pizza all day. Now, that would be limiting yourself..)
