Not necessarily… though it might help with other health problems you might have. A lot of vegetarians I know tend to eat a LOT of carbs… they’re kind of on the tubbier side.
Being a vegetarian is quite healthy I guess, but don’t count on losing weight because it increases carb intake.
Yes I did but I also started to eat more healthily when I became a veggie. It’s just as easy to become an overweight vegetarian though if you replace the meat with chips or creamy sauces. Remember that meat is actually low calorie, it is the sauces and skin that make it unhealthy.
You can lose weight if you do it right. Just because you don’t eat meat, does not mean you will lose weight. If you are eating things greasy french fries and oreos, then you will not lose any weight.

Hi, check out the Vegetarian tab on the website below. It talks about vegetarian weight loss. Vegetarians have the same problems losing weight as the rest of us. Look at all the calories in non-meat products such as nuts, sweets, etc. There’s nothing wrong with giving up meat for a while (or forever for that matter) if you’re getting plenty of protein from other sources. You’ve got to have protein to have pretty hair, pretty skin, etc. For everything, really! There are plenty of ways to get it without meat though. So…read the vegetarian information above and decide if you’re willing to eat less and exercise more, because that’s what it’s all about, whether you eat meat or not…good luck!
