There’s very good evidence that the livestock industry accounts for more greenhouse gas emissions than the entire transport sector (a) and emerging evidence that it could actually account for 51% of all out greenhouse gas emissions (b)
A vegan diet would also mean we could feed Far more people (c) and ease water shortages (d)
over 50% of US antibiotics are fed to livestock, creating resistant strains of pathogens (there were 76 million cases of food-bourne illness in America each year) (e)
Going vegan is better for the planet, better for you and, most importantly, it’s the Right thing to do.
No, superman saves the world. I’ve seen him do it on TV.
I don’t think so,,, maybe the odd sheep and cow
no, instead of killing animals you are diminishing their food supply. you are also contributing to the death of plant life. Murderer!
No. It will lead to deforestation as we eat up all the vegetation.
D R broke it down for you. the other guy just fell into his shadow
Not the entire world, but it is good for the planet
It does not because it ruins the natural order of things. While many argue what we do to animals is cruel, look around in nature. Lions ripping heads off of prey, eagles ripping rabbits in half, its nature, its a dog eat dog world. Also, nobody like the vegetarians…they are so sick looking….
it would slow down global warming by stopping ship trucks planes carrying meat product around the world and also stop industry making this meat products…
this will also be followed by world hunger , people dying of starvation.
this will also increase the animal population in great number…
"search the "butterfly effect" you will understand every thing
It doesn’t necessarily save the world. But, it reduces carbon emissions by tons; raising animals for food wastes resources, cuts down the rainforest.

If everyone on this planet went vegetarian, the world would be saved.
No! There is not enough food to go around as it is.
If the whole world gave up eating meat. The famine rate would spread rapidly.
No, it’s just a lifestyle. If you did away with your car, took no holidays by plane, cycled or walked everywhere, heated your house with fuel from non fossil elements etc, then you may contribute to helping our world, but no one is saving it, we will just be prolonging it!
No. Crops require far more land than animals.
First of all to that stupid Justin S guy, you are stereotyping. I actually don’t know one vegetarian that is skinny and unhealthy looking. Being a vegetarian is more healthy than eating meat EVER will be.
now to answer your question, this is such a debatable topic. Of course meat eaters are going to say no, and all non meat eaters are going to say yes.
Scientists believe that not eating animals does help save the planet. Mainly because they breed animals just so that they can slaughter them. So to all of those people who say we are killing their food supply, don’t blame us you can blame those breeders who are over breeding the animals which results in them over populating and not have enough food. They also try to over feed them and also inject chemicals into their bodies so that they can sell these dead animals to consumers for a lot more money even though they paid a lot less for them. So as you can see there’s a lot more evidence to suggest that yes, it does help save the planet than the other way around.
hope i helped!
xx
no not realli, because not everyoone is becoming a veggi with you -x
no but it does help global warming
Yes. Its a great thing. but i dont know about SAVING.
To grow up an animal for meat consumes 30 times
tons of wheat than the weight of the meat of that
innocent animal.
Thats why its considered as a food crime for the
whole world.
while someone taste a burger, onother ten suffer
without a handful of wheat flour.
being a veg means not only you helps those animals
to live one more day, you do a great serve for
the humans living on the mother earth.
No, there are so many animals if just one person doesn’t eat meat it won’t make any difference. I would eat meat but i can’t bring myself to eating an animal. (I don’t even like animals!)
Over half the world are vegetarian, it’s just a few greedy idiots with no respect for human life that cause most of the problems. tee hee
It doesn’t save the world, but it definitely helps the planet and our environment.
Don’t listen to the people saying that it would take more crops if everyone was a vegetarian…. what do you think animals eat? We would have to grow more crops if everyone ate meat because we would have to feed all of the animals first….plus it takes about 1300 gallons of water just to produce ONE hamburger…. how many people do you think that could hydrate?
You won’t save the planet but you will be doing the best you can as an individual. In other words, you will cause far less harm to the world than someone with less ethical eating habits.
