There are much better ways to lose weight. Try eating only fish and veggies and only drink water. I guarantee you will lose weight, especially if you do an hour of cardio everyday.
unhealthy and un natural humans are herbivore and carnivore they require both to be healthy you can get protein in other ways but it isnt the right kind of protein it is enough to live off of but not enough to live properly which is why you see vegan’s taking so many vitamin’s
plus it is so expensive to be vegan
it is but you have to ask a docter about your health first just to be safe
Yes, just as long as you exercise and have a proper diet it can. Just make sure to have plenty of leafy greens, proteins(beans, nuts, soy), and all of the nutrients and vitamins you need for a healthy diet and it should help.
No, it’s not a weight loss programme.
There are vegans of all shapes and sizes from way too thin to morbidly obese, just as there are vegetarians and vegans of all shapes and sizes.
All the same rules for losing weight still apply – healthy eating and exercise.
Becoming vegan is a complete lifestyle change. It should never be seen as a quick fix to lose weight because any quick fix diet is bound to fail. If you want to lose weight, its very simple. You need to watch what you are eating, how much you are eating and you need to exercise. Whether you are vegan or not you can’t just eat anything you want because there are lots of vegan desserts and junk food out there too. You should take some time a research ways to change the way you eat if you want to lose weight, if that means that you choose to become vegan for the health benefits than more power to you.
I will say this though, I am a strict vegetarian and it does make it a lot easier for me to make the right meal choices. After a month I was already out of my habit of eating out and eating fast food, I’ve saved a lot of money that way.
In the book "Skinny Bitch" it is implied but truth be told you have to follow a lower calorie diet just like any other person- vegan or not.
Maybe 20 years ago it would have been an ideal diet (even then if it was heavy in calories you wouldn’t lose) but with so many replacement items out there it’s just as hard to diet as a vegan (for me at least). You can find pretty much every kind of junk food out there if you look hard enough.
I haven’t lost or gained anything since becoming vegan Oct ’08. But I do feel better!
I am all for anyone going vegan for any reason, but I wanted to be honest
