For eggs: If you need something for baking, try Ener-G Egg replacer or you can mash up either (1) 1/2 a banana mashed up well = 1 egg -or- (2) 3tbsp apple sauce = 1 egg.
If you want an egg subsitute for scrambled eggs, you can buy some silken tofu, mash it with a fork and add it to a pan with vegan butter or olive oil. Add your own spices or buy the "Tofu Scrambler" (www.fantasticfoods.com) seasoning packet found in most natural stores.
Dairy: There is soy milk, rice milk and almond milk (all that i know of). Personally I like Rice Milk. For non-dairy ice cream there is Soy Dream, Soy Delicious, Tofutti, Vegan Temptation, Rice Dream and tea dream. Rice Dream and Tofutti are pretty good!
Hopefully this makes it easier
edit: Soy alternatives? I’m not sure if you mean fake meat that isn’t made with soy, or you’re just looking for alternatives to meat in general. In either case.. "fake meat" i’ve seen so far?: chicken, meatballs, steak, turkey, burgers, chicken burgers, chicken nuggets, tofurkey, tofurkey (that is almost the size of a small tukey) with stuffing inside for holidays, quorn (quorn foods are made with mycoprotein, an edible fungi like truffles, morels and mushrooms.)->chicken patties, chicken nuggets, cutlets, chicken tenders and veggies dogs.-, and veggie dogs from other sources.
Personally, I love Yves veggie dogs and "chicken" burgers.

I didn’t really take a slow approach to it, so as long as you are willing to give it up, do it. Just make sure you take your vitamins. There are all kinds of soy substitutes for cheese and milk. Chocolate soy milk is my favorite.

By becoming a vegan you must make sure you are getting adequate amounts of B-12 and iron, which is found in large amounts in meat. Soy products are all enriched with both these nutrients as well as calcium, niacin and Vitamin D. There are many types of founds that cotain protein and are very good source of fiber as well. Here is a list of some foods I eat : nuts, Great Northern beans, kidney beans and legumes(beans have calcium as well), almond butter, Edemame ( a type of bean that is very delicious), Morning Star soy sausage links as well as other products, and rice milk (for cereal and recipes).
