*10 POINTS!* Have You Lost Any Weight Since Becoming a Vegetarian or Vegan?

I’m a vegetarian for animal rights and health reasons. However, it doesn’t hurt that I have lost a few pounds since become vegetarian about a month ago. Has anyone else experienced weight loss since their transition? How do you feel better since becoming veggie?

    Yeah I guess i’ve gotten a little thinner in the face and stomach since meat’s been replaced with low fat substitutes like quorn products :)

    you actual gain because your body doesn’t get what you need and it thinks its starving.

    7 years ago I became a vegetarian and lost abou 20 pounds
    but I came to a normal wight in time
    I feel very healthy and energetic.
    More lively too. It really is a load of your back when you don’t have all that animal fat and greasy oil in your system.

    I haven’t lost any weight. But I do eat more often and have come to enjoy food more.

    I gained 90 pounds the first year I went Vegetarian. Had little to nothing to do with going Vegetarian and all to do with some medications I was on. Yo-yo dieted for years and finally made a lifestyle change last year and lost the last 45 pounds in three months. Had nothing to do with going Vegan.

    When I first went Vegetarian, I felt way more healthy. After cutting the processed garbage called imitation meat out of my diet this past summer I feel even more amazing. Since going Vegan I feel quite a lot healthier, which I didn’t think was possible.

    Yes. I’ve lost lots of weight. But not just going vegetarian. Because I can stop eating meet and also eat junk food. etc.

    But I decided to go healthy period too. :) So yes I use to be very over weight. And lost a good 20 – 30 pounds. Just because I had bad eating habits.

    :P But after I lost the weight I went back to eating meat. So I gained a little. But now I’m back to being 100% vegetarian. So I lost a little bit.
    Lol. I think this sounds confusing. Hope you get what I mean :D

    i was 110 pounds when i switched to veggi two years ago and i am still exactly 110 pounds. My friend went vegan three years ago, and he has gained a bit of chub since then, but lots of ppl do in there early 20s

    therefor: you may or may not loose or gain weight.
